With more and more organisations planning to migrate to the cloud, in a bid to update systems, save costs and gain a greater level of efficiency, concerns are being raised about the risks posed by holding sensitive data in cyber space. Recently, Gartner reported that worldwide spending on enterprise application software will grow 7.5 per cent in 2015, reaching a predicted $149.9 billion and an estimated $201 billion in 2019. The report also identified that by 2019, 28 per cent of businesses globally will have SaaS-based installed human capital management systems and expect the per cent of businesses to be provisioned, in part or fully, with cloud-based office capabilities from 15 per cent in 2015 to 60 per cent in 2020.
