The e-Discovery merger frenzy continued apace as one of the oldest players in the game, Kansas-based Xact Data Discovery, also known as XDD, announced it will expand its West Coast presence through the acquisition of Salt Lake City-based Orange Legal Technologies.
Both companies provide managed services, including collection, processing, hosting and managed document review. XDD CEO Robert Polus estimated that the combined companies will have $43 million in annual revenue, but exact terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We’re going to continue to acquire — we’re definitely in acquisition mode,” said Polus, who added that it would be smart growth.
“The one thing I’m trying to avoid being is just another big company,” he said.
