A short percentage-based assessment of the qualitative benefit of the post highlighting the potential impact of AI-assisted writing tools in the area of content creation.

Editor’s Note: Today’s post is unique as it weaves together just for fun* four areas of personal business interest to show how artificial intelligence (AI) can contribute to and accelerate the creation of product-centric marketing content. The four areas of personal business interest included in this AI-assisted content generation exercise for a hypothetical product are productivity services, mergers and acquisitions, business management, and emerging technologies.

A brief overview of these interests is provided as background information to explain the choice of title, description, and keywords used for providing input into an AI-assisted writing assistant to create example content just for the fun of it.

Areas of Personal Business Interest

Productivity Services:  Having followed online productivity services since my days as a product manager in Compaq’s Small and Medium Business Internet Services group, I am always interested when I see new productivity tools that promise to enhance and accelerate content development and, when possible, test these tools. One recently released tool that provoked my interest in this area is ChewyAI, an online writing assistant. (Key Focus: Productivity)

Mergers and Acquisitions: Tracking almost two decades’ worth of publicly disclosed eDiscovery-centric investments, I regularly follow the striking success and less spoken of failure of merger and acquisition activities of industry companies. Recently having spoken with several industry colleagues about their experience with a merger or acquisition, I am increasingly intrigued by the root cause of success and failure in these activities. (Key Focus: Organizational Dynamics in Mergers and Acquisitions)

Business Management: An avid reader of business management books and articles ranging from systems to run businesses (e.g., Traction by Gino Wickman) to unfortunate practices that impact business culture (e.g., Gaslighting), I follow and regularly highlight business management topics via social media and blogging. One recently published article by the Harvard Business Review on gaslighting is an example of a topic that interests me in this area. (Key Focus: Business Culture Impact of Gaslighting)

Emerging Technologies: As a technologist that follows emerging technologies, I find it intriguing to see the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI) in practical professional tasks ranging from legal discovery to marketing content generation. An AI certification course from a leading eDiscovery vendor is one example of recent personal study in this intriguing area. (Key Focus: Artificial Intelligence)

Combining key focus elements of each of these areas of personal business interest and leveraging an AI-powered writing assistant, one can quickly begin to see the potential of AI to accelerate the creation of content from seemingly disparate inputs to provide cogent and compelling content.

Just for Fun? eDiscovery Mergers, Organizational Gaslighting, and Artificial Intelligence

Recently ChewyAI, an online AI-powered writing assistant, introduced beta access to a service designed to help users create product-centric marketing content. The beta service can create content from the submission of a basic product headline, a short product description of 400 characters or less, and a listing of five or fewer keywords. Elements of content created by the service include:

  • Product Descriptions
  • Sub-Headers
  • Features
  • Enhanced Features
  • Calls To Action
  • Frequently Asked Questions
  • Brand Stories
  • Blog Titles
  • Bullet Points to Blog

After signing up for the beta version of the ChewyAI service, I combined key focus elements from areas of personal business interest and, just for fun, created the following hypothetical* product offering, description, and supporting keywords.

  • Hypothetical Product Title: Gaslighting Detection Service
  • Hypothetical Product Description: With the proliferation of mergers and acquisitions in the eDiscovery arena, more organizations are bringing together disparate cultures and businesses practices. When merging products, processes, and people, there is an increasing challenge of Gaslighting by those responsible for revenue, roadmaps, and reductions. This new offering helps detect potential Gaslighting by organizational leaders.
  • Submitted Keywords: Gaslighting, Leadership, Mergers, Acquisitions, eDiscovery

After submitting the product title, description, and keywords to the ChewyAI platform, the following marketing content examples were created in a matter of minutes through the assistance of AI.

Only five examples are provided in each content generation area for the sake of brevity.

Beyond a Gaslighting Detection Service

Now, remember this just for fun exercise was shaped by only four key focus elements, one hypothetical product title, one 395 character description, and five keywords. With AI-assistance, within a few minutes, and a few clicks, incredibly intriguing content was created. Content that could be used to remove writer’s block, provide new ways of thinking about offerings, and potentially shape the development of downstream content.

Even with disparate focus elements and a purely hypothetical product offering, AI-enabled writing appears to have an exciting place in the future of content marketing. As exemplified in this short, just for fun exercise with a beta version of a writing assistant, AI-enabled content tools appear to be able to quickly provide suggestions and samples that can help inform additional content development. From product marketing to counter-marketing, it will be interesting to see how content generation changes over time with the advancement of productivity services supported by AI. It will also be interesting to see how much content created just for fun to test new AI-enabled writing tools stimulates the creation of new offerings and new ways of communicating about those offerings. And now I will certainly be on the lookout for the release of a Gaslighting Detection Service.

* The Gaslighting Detection Service presented in this post is a hypothetical offering created to demonstrate the potential of AI in product development, management, and marketing. As of the writing of this post it is not known to be in development, but maybe it should be given a review of the AI-generated content from ChewyAI.
