Technology continued to grow as more firm introduced dashboards and other platforms that added transparency to their billing and work, allowing clients to not only manage their spending more easily, but to use automated systems for routine work. Most studies suggest that automation will only increase in the coming year.
What about in our industry – eDiscovery? Are we an automated industry? We’re becoming one – a lot faster than you think. Automating the majority of document classification from a small subset classified by humans has become an accepted practice to significantly reduce review costs without sacrificing quality (if anything, quality has been found to have been improved in many instances).
