On Tuesday, Epiq announced its acquisition of Mainspring Consulting Group, a firm specializing in contract lifecycle management (CLM) and contracts migration services. This purchase expands Epiq’s existing Contracts Solutions business, which aims to help clients improve contracting processes through technology, data, and personnel management.
According to Epiq’s senior vice president Ziad Mantoura, “Mainspring’s CLM strategy, implementation, and integration services will enable our clients to get better value from their CLM technology investments.” Epiq’s Contracts Solutions division focuses on contract review, analytics, CLM advisory and implementation, and flexible legal contracting talent.

Mainspring is experienced in resolving contracts workflow, procedural, and technical issues with top CLM platforms like Agiloft and Conga.
Mainspring co-founder Peter Toundaian commented that under Epiq, “clients will benefit from our combined contracts solutions expertise. Our CLM experience and consultative approach enable us to provide the best platform configuration to support our clients’ business models for any contract type.”
Epiq’s legal transformation services arm has expanded substantially since launching three years ago, with Mainspring representing its most recent addition after 2022’s acquisition of Fireman & Company.
