The latest announcement from Microsoft unveils ‘Wave 2’ of its Microsoft 365 (M365) Copilot, a suite of AI enhancements designed to revolutionize productivity tools. This initiative aims to integrate advanced artificial intelligence into familiar applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook, providing robust support for business processes and collaboration. As part of this rollout, a significant feature is the introduction of Copilot Pages, described as a dynamic, persistent canvas for AI-powered collaboration. This tool allows real-time integration of data, files, and web content, promoting a new pattern of multiplayer AI collaboration.
A standout development in ‘Wave 2’ is the integration of Python into Excel. This integration enables users to perform advanced data analyses, including forecasting, risk analysis, and machine learning, all through natural language prompts. “In the past, if we were building a major campaign like the Finance is Open campaign, it would’ve taken us three months to generate the content.
