Editor’s Note: The eDiscovery Business Confidence Survey is a nonscientific quarterly survey that shares insight into the business confidence of individuals working in the eDiscovery ecosystem. The survey consists of nine core questions on factors related to the creation, delivery, and consumption of eDiscovery products and services purposed toward cyber, data, and legal discovery tasks. Additionally, the survey contains three optional questions focused on the business operational metrics of days sales outstanding (DSO), monthly recurring revenue (MRR), and customer revenue distribution.

Participation Request

The quarterly eDiscovery Business Confidence Survey has been administered twenty-six times since early 2016, with more than 2,701 individual responses from eDiscovery industry professionals. The survey provides valuable insight into the current business confidence of cybersecurity, information governance, and legal discovery professionals in the eDiscovery ecosystem. Today ComplexDiscovery kindly asks you to share your observations and opinions on the eDiscovery business climate by participating in the Summer 2022 eDiscovery Business Confidence Survey.


The survey consists of 12 questions that are all multiple-choice. The entire survey can be completed in less than five minutes and is open to cybersecurity, information governance, and legal discovery professionals operating in the eDiscovery ecosystem. Whether analyst or observer, reporter or communicator, or law firm, service provider, or governmental agency expert or consultant, your informed opinion of the business climate for eDiscovery is highly sought after for the Summer 2022 eDiscovery Business Confidence Survey.

  • How would you characterize the trajectory of your organization’s Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) during the last quarter?

ComplexDiscovery will anonymize responses to the survey and does not share any individual or organizational contact data, demographics, or answers.

The Summer 2022 eDiscovery Business Confidence Survey response period will be between today and no later than late June 2022. Upon completion of the survey, the results will be anonymized, provided to all participants via email, and published on the ComplexDiscovery website.
