Lighthouse Completes Acquisition of H5

Company adds seasoned review and analytics leader to executive team.

Lighthouse, a leader in technology-enabled ediscovery, compliance, and information governance services, today [August 11, 2021] announced it has completed its acquisition of H5, the industry’s leader in advanced search, review, and data analytics products and services. The intent to acquire H5 was announced on July 8.

H5 offers innovative solutions that combine human expertise, linguistics, and highly advanced technologies to meet the growing challenges of the modern legal ecosystem.

“Our technology-first focus on helping clients find relevant electronic information with unparalleled speed and accuracy, at a fraction of the cost of manual linear review is at the heart of everything we do at Lighthouse,” said Brian McManus, CEO of Lighthouse. “Together with H5, we will accelerate the modernization of document review by leveraging a combination of linguistics, data science, machine learning, and AI to create far superior outcomes for our clients.”

The acquisition will strengthen Lighthouse’s ability to modernize the ediscovery and information governance space with a technology-first focus. H5’s approximately 250 employees will join Lighthouse to help meet accelerated demand for technologies and services that span the entire client data life cycle, and fully embrace the rapid shifts to cloud and hybrid environments.

The Company also announced that Dr. Lon Troyer has joined Lighthouse’s executive leadership team as the vice president of Review and Advanced Analytics. Troyer was formerly the executive managing director and head of Professional Services for H5 and brings a diverse background in technology-assisted review, linguistic modeling, advanced information retrieval strategies, and project management to his role with Lighthouse.
